Scout books

Questi piccoli quaderni di Scout book sono perfetti per disegnare, prendere appunti, fare liste o per fare schizzi e scrapbook. Personalmente adoro quello a zig-zag, ma anche quello arancione mi piacerebbe.
Lo scrapbook delle ultime foto appartiene all'artista Anthony Zinonos, che ha inviato le foto al sito per mostrare l'utilizzo che ne fa.

These small notebooks by Scout book are perfect to draw, take notes, make lists o for your sketches and scrapbooks. I love the zig-zag one, but I'd also like to receive the orange one.

City Crush: Samarqand

Come ogni martedì, anche oggi EDR vi porta a scoprire un angolo di mondo. Rispetto al primo episodio di questa nuova rubrica, oggi ci troviamo in tutt'altro continente, sperduti tra gli immensi spazi asiatici, nella città di Samarcanda in Uzbekistan. Samarqand (in uzbeko)  un tempo era una delle città più floride dell'Asia, una tappa fondamentale sulla via della seta che collegava l'Occidente alla Cina. Di quei tempi adesso rimangono rovine centenarie e le parole immortali di chi ne ha descritto le forme. Tiziano Terzani ne ha parlato nel suo libro Buonanotte, signor Lenin, l'UNESCO nel 2001 l'ha dicharata patrimonio dell'umanità.

As every Tuesday, EDR shows you another corner of the world. This time we're in a completely different place (last week we were here), lost in the huge Asiatic spaces, in the city of Samarkand in Uzbekistan. Samarqand (Uzbek) once was one of the richest cities of Asia, thanks to its central position on the Silk Road between China and the West. Now what remains are only the ruins of that age and the eternal words of those who described it. Tiziano Terzani wrote about it in his book Goodnight, Mister Lenin, UNESCO declared it World Heritage site in 2001.

Discoveries: Rossella Carrara

L' altro fine settimana ero in giro con una mia amica per fare un po' di shopping, era da un po' che avevo in mente  di acquistare un cappellino nuovo. Entrando in un negozio ne ho notato subito uno, un basco in lana con fiocco applicato a contrasto e mini borchiette. L' ho acquistato senza esitazione anche per il prezzo davvero conveniente, cosi ho scoperto il marchio Rossella Carrara. Sono rimasta colpita dalla collezione autunno inverno composta da abiti, accessori e gioielli, caratterizzati da colori caldi e fantasie originali tutto accompagnato da un ottimo rapporto fra qualità e prezzo. Ve lo consiglio!

Last weekend I was shopping with a friend of mine and I was looking for a new hat. I walked in a shop and I immediately noticed a wool beret with a ribbon in a different colour and studs. As the price was very cheap, I bouht it without thinking twice. That's how I discovered the brand Rossella Carrara. The last FW10 collection includes clothes, accessories and jewellery, all marked by warm colours and original patterns. Plus, the quality-price racio is excellent!
