Paper heart garland

Are you a keeper or a thrower? Well, most of the time I am a thrower - I really have to love something to keep it for a long time - and I happen to bin a lot of magazines and catalogues. But now I found an idea to recycle my paint samples and make a paper garland out of them. You could also use wrapping paper or old paper bags, but I bet this pastel colour rainbow is a more appealing choice. Just use a paper punch of your choice, cut the pieces and sew them together with thread and needle. Et voilà, your easy cheap paper garland is ready.

In the past few days I have been trying to change the room where I work. It is a square, very simple room with a big bay window and wooden floor. I really love it, but it lacks my personal touch, which I have always been afraid to add as we are renting. But I have now decided to be brave and hang a couple of pictures here and there in the room, just to feel it a bit more "mine". I think that this UK type map would be nice on my pale white walls. I shall wait and see if it fits with the final version of the room.

Negli ultimi giorni ho provato a cambiare la stanza in cui lavoro. È una camera quadrata, molto semplice, con una grande finestra in stile inglese e pavimento in legno. Mi piace davvero tanto, ma non c'è il mio tocco personale, che ho sempre evitato di aggiungere dal momento che siamo in affitto. Però adesso ho deciso di essere coraggiosa e di appendere qualche stampa, giusto per sentire questo ambiente un po' più "mio". Questa mappa del Regno Unito farebbe un bel contrasto con le pareti chiare, non mi resta che vedere alla fine se sarà adatta alla versione finale della stanza.

In the neverending fight between Blackberry and Iphone users, at the moment I figure among the Apple enemies. I have been a Blackberry girl for two years now and I am thinking about switching to an Iphone in the next few months. Blackberries are practical and professional, but they lack the cuteness-factor which I need in my everyday appliances. I have been looking for a cute BB cover for a long time - failing miserably - and instead I stumbled upon these delicate sweet Iphone covers. How cute are they?

Nell'infinita lotta tra Blackberry e Iphone, al momento io mi trovo tra i nemici di Apple. Ho un Blackberry da circa due anni e sto pensando di passare a un Iphone nei prossimi mesi. I Blackberry sono pratici e professionali, ma non sono abbastanza carini per i miei gusti. Per molto tempo ho cercato una cover per il mio BB, senza riuscirci, trovando invece queste bellissime e dolcissime cover per Iphone. Mi sa che il mio Blackberry avrà vita breve.

This "animated gif paranoia" started with just 56 animated images created by ELISAVA (Barcelona design school) students Johnny Kelly and Matthew Cooper, but it's growing to become a platform where talents can share their creations.

My house is the place where I spend most part of my day. Working from home, it is important for me to live in a pleasant environment, with lots of colors and pretty details that suit the personality of my boyfriend and I. These are those I love the most.

La mia casa è il luogo dove trascorro la maggior parte delle mie giornate. Non lavorando in un ufficio, per me è importante vivere in un ambiente piacevole, ricco di colori e dettagli carini adatti alla mia personalità e a quella del mio ragazzo. Questi sono quelli che amo di più.

Nestlé Chocolate museum

Near the town of Toluca, close to Mexico City, Nestlé commissioned a new Chocolate Museum, which design and construction only took 2.5 months to be finished. The building reminds of both a shipping container and a bug: its 300 meters long external metallic surface includes a theatre, a museum, a shop and provides direct access to the chocolate factory. Impossible to pass unnoticed and a good excuse to visit Mexico.

Vicino alla città di Tuluca, nei pressi di Città del Messico, l'azienda Nestlé ha commissionato la costruzione di un nuovo Museo della Cioccolata, la cui progettazione e costruzione è durata solo 2 mesi e mezzo. L'edificio ricorda sia un container che un bruco: la struttura metallica esterna lunga 300 metri comprende un teatro, un museo e un negozio e permette di accedere direttamente alla fabbrica. Impossibile che passi inosservato, questo museo è un'altra scusa per visitare il Messico.
